This Privacy Policy is issued by St Louis Nursery and Primary School, Owo (“we”, “us”, “the school”). We are the data controller for personal information collected through this website, our enquiry and admissions forms.

This page is a starting notice based on how this website is built. It is not legal advice. We remain responsible for our data practices.

This policy applies to:

• This public website and pages we publish on it.
• Contact, admissions, and other forms on this website.
• We do not currently operate a branded mobile app under this school’s name. If we publish one, we will update this policy before listing it.

3. Who processes data for us

We use service providers (processors) to host and operate this website. They may only use school data to provide those services to us:

• LogicGlide Global Solutions Limited (Eduba) — hosts and operates this website.
• Amazon Web Services — file storage for images and documents we upload.
• Vercel — website hosting. In production, Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights may collect usage and performance data.
• Cloudflare Turnstile — spam protection on forms.
• WhatsApp (Meta) — if you message us via the WhatsApp button on this site.

4. Information we collect

We may collect:

• Enquiry and admissions details you submit on forms (such as name, email, phone, and messages).
• Files you upload with a form (for example documents or photos).
• Technical data such as IP address (stored with some form submissions), browser or device type, and pages viewed on this site.
• Published content we choose to show (staff names and photos, news, events, and similar school information).

We do not sell personal information. We do not use this website for behavioural advertising.

5. How we use information

• Respond to enquiries and admissions requests.
• Operate, secure, and improve this website.
• Publish school information we choose to make public.
• Meet legal and safeguarding obligations.

6. Legal bases (NDPA)

We process personal data under the Nigeria Data Protection Act where a lawful basis applies, including: your consent (for example a form you submit); our legitimate interests in running a school website securely; performance of a contract or steps before a contract (admissions); or a legal obligation. You may withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

7. Children and student data

We serve a school community. Information about children and students is sensitive. We collect it for education and school administration, with parent, guardian, or authorised school-official involvement as required. We do not use children’s data for behavioural advertising. Parents and guardians may contact us using the details above about a child’s information.

8. Sharing

We share personal information with the processors listed above, and when the law requires (for example a lawful request from authorities). We do not sell personal information.

9. Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies as described in our Cookie Policy. Necessary cookies (including form security) always run. Optional analytics — first-party page-view counts and, in production, Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights — run only if you accept them.

10. Retention, security, and transfers

We keep enquiry and admissions records for as long as needed to handle your request, run the school, and meet legal or safeguarding duties. Hosting and file storage may process data in data centres outside Nigeria. We use HTTPS in transit and access controls on the platform. No system is completely secure.

11. Your rights

Depending on applicable law (including the NDPA), you may ask to access, correct, delete, or restrict personal data we hold, or lodge a complaint with the Nigeria Data Protection Commission. We may need to verify your identity. Some records must be kept where the law requires.

12. Deleting your data

To request deletion of personal data we hold about you (including an app account where we offer one), follow the steps on our Data deletion page. Deleting an account means removing associated personal data, not only freezing access, except where we must retain records by law.
